Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise on complex products in crypto domain
  • Lead solution assessments, including market scans and vendor evaluations

As a Software Engineer you will be working in one of our scrum teams, building new functionality, and scaling our platform to deal with our ever increasing customer and data volumes. Working in the Product Engineering team, youโ€™ll work alongside Product Managers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and many other talented people. We ship regularly, with automated deployments at the click of a button, and when you join us, we want you to ship code to production in your first sprint. We prioritise customer success; and weโ€™re rigorous about security at every stage of the development lifecycle. Some of our problems are unique to large software โ€“ dealing with large datasets, maintaining very high throughput, and 24/7 platform uptime.

We use the leading cloud providers to power the Dotdigital platform and process millions of pieces of data every day for some of the worldโ€™s largest companies, so thereโ€™s plenty to get your teeth into. For this role, weโ€™re looking for someone whoโ€™s got strong and current node.js and python skills, with experience in web too. Managing large volumes of data is core to everything we do, so experience in working in high performance environments will be a huge plus.

Weโ€™re remote! Our product and technical teams are currently based in the UK, Poland, and South Africa and our 180 team members all work from home. We do make office and co-working spaces available, but that choice is up to you. We keep in touch with each other via Slack and Zoom and have a great collaborative culture. Broadvoice is looking for an AI Engineer specializing in Large Language Models (LLMs) to lead research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing both our internal processes and customer-facing products. This role involves experimenting with state-of-the art LLMs, optimizing their performance, and integrating them into scalable solutions that drive innovation in cloud communications.

Your day-to-day:

  • Research and experiment with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Llama) to identify potential applications in automation, customer interactions, and internal processes.
  • Develop and fine-tune LLM-powered solutions, focusing on areas such as chatbots, intelligent assistants, and knowledge retrieval.
  • Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve model performance for Broadvoiceโ€™s use cases.
  • Explore and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) approaches, integrating LLMs with structured company knowledge bases.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate AI-powered features into Broadvoiceโ€™s products and services.
  • Stay updated on emerging AI trends and assess third-party AI tools that could accelerate development.

What you bring to the team:

  • Masterโ€™s in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience working with LLMs, NLP and machine learning.
  • Strong experience with Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and working with RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
  • Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and retrievalaugmented generation (RAG) methodologies.
  • Experience with fine-tuning and deploying models in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Passion for exploring and implementing the latest advancements in AI and LLMs.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong communication skills.

Our bank has data driven processes and with it DWH plays major role in whole business model. Our team provides data pipelines from all our data sources (as internal/external systems), data marts for reporting and analysis and toolchain around the data to make work with data easier.

Challenges that await you:

  • Assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouse solutions
  • Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to develop and optimize data pipelines
  • Writing and maintaining ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data
  • Debugging and resolving data quality issues
  • Monitoring and ensuring the performance and stability of data warehouse systems
  • Contributing to data governance processes and best practices
  • Assisting in the documentation of data warehouse architecture and processes

What makes you a great fit:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Data Engineer and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
  • Experience with ELT/ETL tools such as Airflow, DBT, or similar frameworks
  • Solid understanding of data integration and processing frameworks like Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect
  • Advanced knowledge of data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling and Data Vault principles
  • Open mind for problem-solving and good troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • B1 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team
