Youโre a systems thinker who understands how bits translate into bandwidth, and how vendor relationships can impact customer experience. Youโre not afraid to dive deep into hardware specs or rewrite a cluster layout if thatโs what it takes. You enjoy mentoring others, driving architectural change, and speaking both โDevOpsโ and โvendor.โ
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of senior DevOps engineers.
- Drive architectural decisions, ensuring theyโre grounded in both strategic vision and hands-on feasibility.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for infrastructure-related vendor communication, from troubleshooting to collaborative solution design.
- Infrastructure and Network Design:
- Overhaul our current network architecture to support segmentation (e.g., private/public subnets, NAT gateways, bandwidth controls) inspired by AWS, likely implemented with KubeOVN.
- Re-architect our cluster layout: transition from a one-cluster-per-provider-server approach to a more scalable multi-node setup.
- Ensure our infrastructure supports varied customer needsโfrom personal VPS to high-performance VM setups.
- Hardware and Performance:
- Bring expertise in low-level system performance: CPU architecture, GPU computing, and general hardware optimization.
- Collaborate with hardware vendors to ensure predictable performance and clear understanding of the compute resources we resell.
- Observability and Security:
- Implement observability solutions (e.g., Grafana stack) for comprehensive monitoring and alerting.
- Define Kubernetes network policies and secrets management systems to ensure secure multi-tenant operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years in DevOps, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

- Technical Skills:
- Expert-level understanding of computer networking and Kubernetes-based network solutions.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Experience with observability and security tools in cloud environments.
- Ability to make architecture-level decisions and defend them with technical rationale.

What Youโll Tackle First:
- Redesign our Kubernetes network layout with public/private subnet segregation, bandwidth controls, and internet gateway support.
- Lead the transition to a more scalable cluster architecture.
- Build strong relationships with hardware providers and become the internal go-to person for hardware insights
Future Challenges:
- Ensure our infrastructure is flexible enough to support a range of customer needs, from enterprise blockchain setups to GPU-powered ML workloads.
- Help the company evolve its marketplace offering through better observability, transparency, and performance guarantees.
Why Join Us:
- Impact: Your work will directly impact how our clients access and utilize compute resources, driving the next generation of cloud-native infrastructure.
- Innovation: Work with the latest in container orchestration, virtualization, and multi-cloud technologies.
- Growth: Be part of a rapidly growing company with plenty of opportunities to advance your career.
- Culture: Join a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive work environment that values innovation and professional development.
Location: Remote
Commitment: Full-time
Benefits:

As a Deployment Engineer, you wonโt just ship code โ youโll embed with our healthcare customers, deeply understand their workflows, and drive the full deployment lifecycle from design to delivery.
In this highly technical, customer-facing role, youโll architect and implement tailored solutions, navigate complex integrations, and iterate directly with users to maximize impact and usability. Our AI tools streamline essential but time-consuming tasks โ like verifying insurance, enrolling patients, filing claims, and managing financial transactions. Youโll be the one making that transformation real, delivering high-leverage impact in mission-critical environments.
As an early member of the team, you'll shape both our product and how we work with customers โ playing a key role in redefining what's possible through AI automation.
What You'll Do
Embed With Customers
- Work closely with end-users, product teams, and business stakeholders to turn real-world challenges into elegant technical solutions.
- Travel on-site to deploy software, provide hands-on support, and build trusted relationships.
- Go beyond implementation โ become a strategic technical partner and problem-solver.
Build & Deliver Real Solutions
- Design, build, and deploy custom workflows using Luminaiโs core platform.
- Own end-to-end deployments โ from gathering requirements and architecting solutions to testing and real-world implementation.
- Write production-grade code to deliver high-leverage automation tailored to each customerโs unique needs.
Test, Iterate, and Improve
- Execute functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure high-quality, reliable deployments.
- Identify, document, and track issues, collaborating closely with engineering to drive resolution.
- Continuously refine workflows and deployment processes based on feedback and field insights.
Shape Product & Strategy
- Surface real-world insights from the field to influence Luminaiโs product direction and roadmap.
- Spot gaps, suggest improvements, and work with the core engineering team to bring ideas to life.
- Champion experimentation and iteration โ continuously improving both the product and how we deliver it.
Why This Role is Unique
- Startup Energy, Real-World Impact โ Youโll operate with real autonomy, make critical decisions, and ship solutions that change how essential work gets done.
- Customer First Mindset โ Youโre not building in a vacuum. Every workflow you deploy shapes real-world experience for patients, providers, and support teams.
- End-to-End Ownership โ From strategy to implementation, youโll own outcomes โ not just deliverables.
- Shape the Future โ As one of our earliest engineers in deployment, youโll help define our product, process, and culture from the ground up.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, forward deployed engineer, or in a similar technical role.
