At Bending Spoons, we’re striving to build one of the all-time great companies. A company that serves a huge number of customers. A company where team members grow to their full potential. A company that functions at unparalleled levels of effectiveness and efficiency. A company that creates value for shareowners at an extraordinary rate. And a company that does so while adhering to high ethical standards. To achieve this objective, we execute the following strategy: We acquire a digital business with untapped potential and make it as successful as we can by leveraging our platform—which comprises our expertise, technologies, data, brand, talents, and company culture. Then, we invest the proceeds into making our platform more powerful, and into acquiring new businesses. Thus, our strategy sees us combine an investor’s attention to capital allocation with the hands-on approach of an operator. For a talented, driven, and collaborative individual, working at Bending Spoons is an opportunity to learn, make an impact, and progress their career at an exceptionally high rate. That’s our promise to such a candidate.

A few examples of your responsibilities

  • Power digital products with AI. Work with product teams to identify high-impact opportunities where AI can transform the user experience for millions—and then build the solutions to make them happen. Drive the process from possibility to production, delivering code that’s robust, reproducible, and built for scale.
  • Explore ways to push the boundaries of our AI capabilities. Stay at the bleeding edge of AI by investigating new models, techniques, and research. Learn fast across new domains, share findings with the team, and turn breakthrough ideas into production systems that deliver real-world impact.
  • Refine data foundations for exceptional results. Own the full data lifecycle—from acquisition and labeling to loading and management—to ensure our models are trained on clean, high-quality datasets that power top-performing systems.
  • Own your impact, end-to-end. Set smart priorities, manage execution, and consistently deliver high-quality results, even in ambiguous or fast-changing environments. Balance technical depth with strong ownership, growing your skills while delivering meaningful contributions.

What we look for

  • Reasoning ability. Given the necessary knowledge, you can solve complex problems. You think from first principles, and structure your ideas sharply. You resist the influence of biases. You identify and take care of the details that matter.
  • Drive. You’re extremely ambitious in everything you do—and your initiative, effort, and tenacity match the intensity of your ambition. You feel deeply responsible for your work. You hold yourself to a high—and rising—bar.
  • Team spirit. You give generously and without the expectation of receiving in return. You support the best idea, not your idea. You're always happy to get your hands dirty to help your team. You’re reliable, honest, and transparent.
  • Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English.

What we offer

  • Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams. You’ll work in small, result-oriented, autonomous teams alongside some of the brightest people in your field.
  • An exceptional opportunity for growth. We go to great lengths to hire individuals of outstanding potential—then, our priority is to put them in the ideal position to thrive. Spooners in their 20s lead products worth hundreds of millions of dollars. And if you’ve got what it takes, you’ll soon be playing an essential role in major projects, too.
  • Competitive pay and access to equity in the company. Typically, we offer individuals at the start of their career an annual salary of £85,797 in London and €66,065 elsewhere in Europe. For a candidate that we assess as possessing considerable relevant experience, the salary on offer tends to be between £112,189 and £250,512 in London, and €107,837 and €188,848 elsewhere in Europe. Compensation varies by location and expected impact, and grows rapidly as you gain experience and translate it into greater contributions. For individuals who demonstrate exceptional capability, we may offer compensation that extends beyond the usual ranges to reflect their higher expected impact. If you're offered a permanent contract, you'll also be able receive some of your pay in company equity at a discounted price, thus participating in the value creation we achieve together. If relocating to Italy, you may enjoy a 50% tax cut.
  • All. These. Benefits. Flexible hours, remote working, unlimited backing for learning and training, top-of-the-market health insurance, a rich relocation package, generous parental support, and a yearly retreat to a stunning location. We help each Spooner set up the conditions to do their best work.

The selection process

If you pass our screening, we’ll ask you to take on a few tests designed to assess how you approach unfamiliar problems. They’re challenging and may take several hours to complete. If you’re successful with those, we’ll invite you to a series of interviews.  We set the bar high and won't extend an offer until we're convinced we've found the right candidate. This is why a job may stay open for months or be reposted several times.  Studies suggest that women tend not to apply for a job if their CV isn’t a perfect fit. Here, talent takes precedence over experience. So if you like the role and think you could be awesome at it in time, go ahead and apply.  Bending Spoons is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We consider for employment any applicant and provide reasonable accommodations for an individual with disabilities— just let us know through this form.

Before you apply

If you’ve applied before but didn’t receive an offer, we recommend waiting at least one year before applying again.

Bending Spoons is a demanding environment. We’re extremely ambitious and we hold ourselves—and one another—to a high standard. While this tends to lead to extraordinary learning, achievement, and career growth, it also requires significant commitment.

To help you ramp up quickly and set yourself up for success, we expect you to spend most days in our Milan office during your first few months with us, regardless of your long-term work location. It’s the best way to rapidly absorb our company culture and build trust with your new teammates. We’ll support you with generous travel and accommodation assistance. After that, you’re welcome to work from one of our offices, or remotely from approved countries — depending on what we agree at the offer stage.

If the role speaks to you and you’re excited to give your best, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now — we can’t wait to meet you.

We’re one of the world’s leading apps for health monitoring — with 16 million downloads across 130 countries. We bring together biometrics, science, AI, and design to help people better understand their health and overall well-being.

Why this matters:

Our algorithmic competitors are Garmin, Whoop, Apple, Google, and Samsung. But their users come to us — because our algorithms do a better job helping people manage stress, fight fatigue, and take care of their health.

The challenge we’re solving:

  • We’re device agnostic — our algorithms are designed to work equally well on any device.
  • Unlike our competitors, we don’t have access to raw data.
  • That’s why we have to come up with unconventional solutions — and be smart and inventive.

What this role is about:

We’re looking for someone to help adapt our existing algorithms for new platforms and devices. The results of your work will be directly visible to users — in the interface. And that directly impacts how people take care of their health.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You have a strong track record working with human data — ideally in biostatistics or analyzing physiological and behavioral time-series data.
  • You’re confident in Python, familiar with the data science & ML ecosystem, and know how to write clean, maintainable code. You’re not afraid to dive into legacy code, rewrite it from scratch when needed, and back it up with solid tests.
  • You can write algorithmic code and debug implementation inconsistencies — for instance, when the Swift version outputs one distribution and the Kotlin version another, you’ll know how to dig into it and fix it.
  • You're comfortable working across platforms, programming languages, and systems.
  • You’re fluent in AI tools and know how to use different models and solutions to optimize and speed up your work. That’s a must — we work with diverse data and need to build algorithms for various platforms.
  • Your English is good enough to work with documentation and tools in English without issues.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and test algorithms for analyzing physiological and behavioral data, optimize them for mobile devices, and ensure results display correctly across user types and devices.
  • Ensure stable performance of scientific algorithms across all target platforms and operating systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the Android team to implement core health features and ensure all algorithms perform consistently, regardless of device or user.
  • Contribute to building a device-agnostic foundation — we want our recommendations to work seamlessly on everything from smartphones to wearables.
  • Balance different perspectives — scientific accuracy, data diversity, UX simplicity, and edge cases — and bring them together in practical implementations. Tasks range from handling large streams of biometric readings to building sleep and activity recommendations and personalized insights.
  • Test solutions across diverse user personas to ensure both personalization and scalability.

What We Offer:

  • Flexible hours & a high-trust culture — we care about results, not clock time
  • Competitive salary, performance-based bonuses, and stock options
  • 50% hardware subsidy after 6 months
  • Access to a therapist & employee support program
  • Health insurance
  • Support for personal learning and development
  • Unlimited vacation policy
  • Culture of openness, honesty, and high standards

How to Apply:

Click Apply for this job and send your application.

What happens next:

  • You’ll get an email with a 30‑minute questionnaire to share your contact details, resume link, and experience. We review every application and will get back to you either way.

If we’re a good match, the next steps are:

  • Test assignment
  • Culture Fit interview with HR
  • Technical interview with the hiring manager

Dec 2, 2025

We are Quadcode, a fintech company excelling in financial brokerage activities and delivering advanced financial products to our global clientele. Our flagship product, an internal trading platform, is offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution to other brokers.

Due to growth and expansion, we’re looking for a Senior Go Developer to join our Trading Exchange team. We are building an options exchange for the U.S. market — a full-featured exchange with a matching engine, order book, and all the necessary components. The project complies with all regulatory requirements for derivatives exchanges in the United States.

We have a fresh codebase (less than 3 years old), no deep legacy, and minimal technical debt.

What we're building:

  • An exchange for trading high-risk instruments (binary options, event-based options, etc.).
  • A proprietary clearing system, used not only by our exchange but also by our partner exchanges.
  • An SDK for market makers working on our platform.

Our tech stack and development approach:

  • Golang is our primary programming language.
  • A service-oriented architecture with a custom transport layer (a variation of RPC) inherited from our parent company. We use service discovery and code generation.
  • PostgreSQL is the main database. We actively use stored procedures but avoid implementing business logic or complex logic in them.
  • We generate statically typed functions for calling procedures — no ORMs or SQL code generation tools.
  • Performance is a priority at the architectural level, and we’re planning deeper optimization after implementing the core business logic.
  • We actively write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • We also work with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab. However, infrastructure-related tasks are not part of our day-to-day responsibilities — we have dedicated engineers for that.
  • We follow Scrum with SAFe framework: 2-week sprints, daily stand-ups at 12:30 GMT+3, retrospectives, and grooming sessions.

Team composition: 3 Go developers, QA engineer, 2 AQA engineers, and a team lead.

Tasks

  • Developing backend components of the trading system, including: the matching engine, the clearing system, and internal reporting storage.
  • Designing and implementing protocols and services for external system integration.
  • Maintaining and evolving the existing codebase: fixing bugs, improving architecture.
  • Ensuring service performance and fault tolerance.
  • Participating in code reviews and architectural discussions as part of delivering stable releases.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in backend development using Go, C++, or Rust.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL: query optimization, partitioning, and replication setup.
  • Deep understanding of concurrent and multithreaded programming.
  • Experience in designing distributed systems and microservice-based architectures.
  • Deep understanding of performance aspects: differences between low latency, high load, and high performance, and the ability to balance these with code complexity.
  • A thoughtful approach to ensuring consistency and determinism in the system — minimizing dependencies on timing, delays, and randomness.
  • A mindset focused on resilience — system failures must not compromise data consistency.
  • Fluent in Russian.
  • English at B1.

Nice to have

  • Experience with high-frequency trading (HFT).
  • System programming skills.
  • Hands-on experience with trading on traditional or crypto exchanges.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts and core internet protocols.
  • Experience working with PL/pgSQL.

We offer

  • Full-time remote work model (Service Provider), with the opportunity for full-time employment based on your location.
  • Competitive remuneration.
  • 20 paid days off annually.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Training and development opportunities.
  • A friendly, enjoyable, and positive work environment.
