Your main goal will be to support the build-out of n8nโs legal function as a foundational hire โ enabling our sales team to close complex deals at scale while shaping a modern, AI-first legal strategy.

About
Weโre looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing AI team. Youโll be the technical owner of the systems that power LLM-based localization features โ designing reliable, scalable, and observable services from the ground up. Youโll also partner across disciplines to support ML operations and data infrastructure โ enabling experimentation and continuous improvement.

You will
- Build and own LLM-powered back end services using FastAPI, Pydantic, etc. โ ensuring they are scalable, observable, and easy to extend
- Design infrastructure that enables rapid experimentation with LLMs, including A/B testing, feature flagging, and usage analytics
- Integrate and maintain LLM observability tooling (e.g., LiteLLM, Langfuse) to monitor quality, cost, and performance of model calls
- Collaborate with Data and ML Scientists to productionize workflows, share feedback, and continuously improve experimentation speed
- Ensure systems are reliable and deployable with strong CI/CD practices, including instrumentation and alerting
- Contribute to team culture through pairing, mentoring, and sharing learnings to help others grow
- Stay connected to the product by understanding our users' needs, localization workflows, and broader industry trends
You Must Have
- 4+ years of experience building and operating backend systems in production
- Strong proficiency with Python, FastAPI, and Pydantic
- Solid understanding of microservice architecture, scalable distributed systems, and observability, with familiarity using tools like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, or Datadog to monitor both general system health and LLM-specific metrics like latency, token usage, and model performance
- Hands-on experience with prompt engineering in production
- Familiarity with CI/CD, containerisation, and cloud deployment
- Strong sense of ownership
It will be considered a significant advantage if you bring

- Experience with LangGraph, multi-modal LLMs and familiarity with tools for LLM integration and observability (e.g. LiteLLM, Langfuse, PromptLayer, or WhyLabs)
- Experience with Lightdash, Snowflake, or modern BI tooling
- Working knowledge of TypeScript, particularly for building or maintaining back end services (e.g., Node.js or serverless APIs)
- Understanding of translation quality metrics (BLEU, chrF, COMET, MQM, METEOR)
- Previous experience with MLOps principles and tooling (e.g. MLflow, Kedro) and/or ML platforms (e.g. SageMaker, Vertex AI)

As a Business Operations Intern you will be joining the Commercial Strategy & Transformation team, that has the ultimate goal to achieve RateHawk business and financial performance globally, directly reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer. The team is responsible for delivering strategic projects that impact the RateHawk commercial organization and global business growth.
This is a remote vacancy open to candidates residing in Europe, preferably in Romania, Poland and Hungary.
Job Responsibilities
The Business Operations Intern will report to the Director of Commercial Strategy & Transformation and support the rest of the team in the process of daily-weekly-monthly data analysis & reporting, including:
- Track and measure the commercial KPIs on daily/weekly/monthly basis, with global perspective, but with the ability to zoom-in to the the single country or single sales manager performance.
- Support the bonus calculation process for the whole commercial organization, including bonus scheme analysis, financial reporting and process improvements.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis by extracting and manipulating large set of data, extrapolate actionable insights both on commercial teams or individual sales or account managers performance.
- Closely collaborate with Analytics and CRM teams to implement automatic business intelligence tools and dashboards for the commercial organization.
- Support commercial leadership team in crafting periodic presentation i.e. quarterly business reviews, strategy presentations, country updates.
Key Qualifications
- Strong and humble personality, able to interact with diverse and multicultural groups of people in remote and geographically dispersed organizations.
- Strong quantitative skills: highly proficient in MS Excel and GSheet, SQL intermediate knowledge. Autonomously able to collect, analyze data and create detailed reports. Advanced SQL skills is a strong plus.
- Data visualization: basic experience in working with BI tools and dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, QuickSights etc) and ability to prepare outstanding presentations.
- Business acumen & hypothesis-driven thinking: able to understand the business process, critically look at the numbers and formulate hypotheses to test. This is not a pure analytical role.
Nice to have
- Bachelor or master degree in Engineering, Business, Statistics or Mathematics.
- Previous work experience in Sales, Marketing or Strategy.
- Previous work experience ย in B2B software industry, travel industry is a plus.
